If the employer pays the workers the new minimum wage, i.e. 1,000 Qatari riyals or more, with insuring their access to housing and food, then the employer will not be obligated to adjust their wages or the allowances they receive.
As for workers who have been provided with adequate housing but who buy their own food, they must be paid a wage of not less than 1300 Qatari riyals, which reflects the minimum food allowance, and the new minimum wage does not directly affect workers who earn a basic wage higher than 1800 riyals because it exceeds Minimum base wage plus all allowances.
A New Payroll Model
